Welcome to the PADI Sidemount specialty course. Having scuba tanks on your back isn’t a requirement for exploring the underwater world. Many scuba divers have discovered the joy of mounting cylinders on their sides. Diving in sidemount can give you flexibility to try various equipment configurations. There is not one way to sidemount dive. You may choose to use one cylinder or two, 12L aluminium or 7L tanks. The options are virtually endless. With two sidemounted cylinders, you will learn how to manage your gas supply and experience the freedom of not having a tank on your back.
