Welcome to the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy specialty course and thank you for choosing to dive with Sandy Beach Dive Centre. Buoyancy is the skill most used during your dives, and having excellent buoyancy is often overlooked and undervalued. In today’s diving world, it is essential not only to improve your diving experience but also to protect the environment. During the course, you will learn different weighting methods and distribution and you will practise hovering and different kicking techniques. By the end of the course you will be in the perfect horizontal diving position with the optimum amount of weight.

Requirements:

  • Minimum age 10 years
  • At least Open Water or equivalent
  • Medically fit
    • See medical form

The PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy course consists of two phases:

  1. Knowledge Development – Classroom
  • Complete knowledge reviews and classroom presentation about optimum weighting and body positioning
  1. Open Water Dives
  • 2 open water dives – you will determine how much weight you need for your gear configuration and practise skills like hovering in different positions and kicking styles

Day 1:

09:00 – Knowledge Development

13:30 – 17:30 – Boat Dives (meeting time is 1 hour before)
