Welcome and congratulations on deciding to start your Emergency First Responder Instructor course! Thank you for choosing to do your course with us, we look forward to teaching and guiding you on your way to becoming an EFR Instructor. This course is a prerequisite to becoming a PADI Open Water Instructor. During the course, you will learn how to teach EFR for Adults, Care for Children, AED and CPR. This is a performance-based course which will develop your EFR knowledge and skills. You will be evaluated on your demonstration ability and EFR course knowledge. Throughout the course, if you have any questions or queries, please do not hesitate to ask any member of our team.

Internationally recognized qualification:

Independent Knowledge Development: 4 Knowledge Reviews and Final Exam

Practical application: 2 days


  • Minimum age 18 years
  • Emergency First Responder course completed within 1 year

The Emergency First Responder Instructor course consists of two phases:

  1. Knowledge Development
  • Self-study
  • Final exam
  • Classroom presentations on the EFR Instruction System
  1. Practical Application
  • 2 presentations from Primary and Secondary Care
  • 1 presentation from Care for Children
  • Skills evaluation
