The PADI Rescue Diver course vastly increases your skills as a diver, both your ability to prevent and solve problems are improved. To become a PADI Rescue Diver you must complete the Emergency First Response Course (CPR & First Aid) or have a valid EFR certification from another organization.

Internationally recognized qualification: Rescue Diver Skills and Procedures

Online Learning: 8 hours

Practical Application: 2 ½ days (they do not need to be consecutive days)

Requirements:

  • Minimum age 15 years, or 12 years for Junior Rescue
  • At least Advanced Open Water or equivalent
  • Medically fit
    • See medical form

The PADI Rescue course consists of three phases:

  • You will apply all the knowledge and skills you have learnt in an open water environment, including learning to calm distressed divers, search for missing divers and surface a missing diver
  • The course ends with a Final Scenario – this is ‘Seriously Fun’!

Paperwork / EFR / Confined Water – Skills Practice

Day 2:

09:00 – 16:00

Confined Water / Open Water

Day 3:

09:00 – 12:30 OR 13:30 – 17:00

Open Water Scenario (Boat Dives – meeting time is 1 hour before)
