Tec 50

Welcome and congratulations on deciding to take the last step in the PADI Tec Deep Diver program! Thank you for choosing to do your course with us, we look for to teaching and guiding you on your way to your Tec Deep Diver certification. During the Tec 50 course you will learn accelerated decompression procedures with the use of multiple gas switches up to 100% oxygen. At this point your diving knowledge, skills and attitude should be on the cutting edge of diving practices. If you are already a Tec Sidemount diver we can do the course in either backmount or sidemount. If you are interested in progressing towards Tec Trimix your instructor may give you a Trimix blend for your final training dive.  The PADI TecRec program is challenging but very rewarding! If you are ready to take the next step, lets get into what the course involves.

Practical application duration: 3-4 days
Pre-Requisites:
  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Certification level:

     PADI Tec 45 or equivalent

     PADI Rescue Diver or equivalent

     Valid EFR within 24 months or equivalent

     PADI Enriched Air Diver or equivalent

     PADI Deep Diver or equivalent

  • Logged 100 Scuba Dives – 20 with EANX deeper than 18m, 15 deeper than 30m
  • Medical certificate from a physician – See Medical Form —————>
The PADI TEC 50 Course consists of two phases:

1. Knowledge developement

  • Digital manual – 2 Knowledge Reviews
  • Final Exam

2. Practical Application

  • 3 Practical Application sessions including decompression Dive Planning
  • 1 Confined Water Training Dive
  • 3 Open Water Training Dives
Schedule:

Day 1:

Practical Application 1 – 3

Decompression Dive Planning

Training Dive 1 – Confined Water – Decompression Diving Skills

Gases: Air, EANX 40% and 80%

Day 2:

9:00 – 13:00 (Boat diving – meeting time is 1 hour before)

Training Dive 2 – Open Water

Depth: 12m – 24m

Gases: Air, EANX 40% and 80%

Decompression: No Decompression dive, 30 min simulated Deco

Dive Planning and Equipment Setup

Day 3:

9:00 – 13:00 (Boat diving – meeting time is 1 hour before)

Training Dive 3 – Open Water

Depth: 30m – 50m

Gases: Air, EANX 40% and 80%

Decompression: Accelerated Deco with multi gas switch

Dive Planning and Equipment Setup

Day 4:

9:00 – 13:00 (Boat diving – meeting time is 1 hour before)

Training Dive 4 – Open Water

Depth: 40m – 50m

Gases: Air, EANX 40% and 80% (possible Trimix)

Decompression: Accelerated Deco with multi gas switch
